MAKING A SYSTEM
Something the Farm has made me an expert in is creating design systems. On a daily basis, I follow a design system curated for the farm, some previously there, and some added by myself. In addition to that brand system, ur programs have a number of recurring events, as well as many different platforms to spread the same message. This means my system design has to adapt in every which way, including print to digital, dimensional changes, and photo/content requirements. I’m an expert!
Weed and Feed is a great example of this expansive system design. The suite required Facebook, Instagram, blog headers, digital signage, flyers, and a poster! In addition, there were separate requests for different textual and photographic content. Adaptation is crucial to effective design.
