Therry is a therapy pal for your therapy journey. Therry is a multi-touchpoint app designed to pair with a user’s journey through talk therapy, while also working as an individual tool. Therry’s features include a calendar that connects to in-app appointment and medication trackers, as well as a community feed of holistic coping skills that can be saved to the user’s library for future access.

USER RESEARCH

Being a mental health app immediately makes user research that much more of a deep dive.  Design should be so much more than making things pretty. We are problem solvers using our skill sets to make creative solutions that fit real people. This means that the first step of that process is understanding the community.

Through both field and desk research, I pinpointed the problems and therefore what parts I was able to amend. I was able to answer questions like “why is an avatar even necessary?” and “why would this platform have a social aspect?”

FEATURES

Therry’s features are designed to connect to the user on a deeper level, getting them more involved in their therapy journey. The app setup automatically customizes the interface and community feed, and you can even make an avatar that feels like you. Windows are simple and concise, formatting information to make the experience less complicated and keep it all in one place.  All of these choices account for audience feedback, as well as my own personal expertise and obtained research.
